Overview
williamchichenoff.com is a campaign website used to share campaign information, receive messages, review community submissions, publish resources, post public events, and manage campaign communications. This policy explains the information collected through the site and how it is used.
The campaign does not sell visitor information.
Information Visitors Submit
When you use the contact form, submit information form, email list form, event RSVP, endorsement form, or similar website features, the site may collect information you choose to provide. This may include your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code or city, topic, title, message, event invitation, endorsement, question, concern, email preferences, uploaded endorsement logo, or other information included in your submission.
Please do not submit confidential personal, medical, financial, or legal information through website forms.
Email List
Email list signups use confirmed opt-in. When you request to join the list, the site stores the request as pending and sends a confirmation link to the submitted email address. Campaign email list messages begin only after the confirmation link is used.
Email list records may include your email address, optional name, optional ZIP code or city, selected interests, consent source, consent timestamp, confirmation timestamp, unsubscribe status, and basic security information. Preference and confirmation links use random tokens stored in hashed form.
You can unsubscribe, update your preferences, or remove your email address from the email list using the preference link in campaign emails.
Basic Technical and Security Information
The site may collect basic technical information such as IP address, browser or user-agent, timestamps, form source page, login attempts, and security-related activity. This information is used for spam prevention, abuse prevention, moderation, troubleshooting, and account security.
Cloudflare Turnstile is used on public forms to help confirm that submissions are not automated spam. Security, hosting, and infrastructure providers may process limited technical information as part of normal website operation.
Cookies and Preference Controls
Required cookies and similar browser storage may be used for security, form sessions, accessibility or display preferences, and remembering privacy choices. Analytics cookies are optional and are not loaded unless analytics are accepted.
You can review or change these choices at any time through the Cookie Preferences link in the footer.
Analytics
With visitor permission, the site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website, which pages are helpful, and where the site can be improved. Analytics may use cookies, device or browser information, approximate location derived from technical signals, page views, referrals, and interaction data. The campaign uses this information in aggregate to evaluate website performance and campaign communication.
You can change analytics choices through the Cookie Preferences link in the footer. You can also limit analytics collection by using browser privacy settings, blocking scripts or cookies, or using privacy tools supported by your browser.
How Information Is Used
Information submitted through the site may be used to respond to messages, review community submissions, manage public posts, follow up about events or concerns, confirm and maintain email list signups, send campaign updates to confirmed subscribers, maintain website security, and administer campaign-related website features.
Community submissions are reviewed before publication. Published community posts may display the submitted name, title, message, type of submission, and publication date when approved for public display.
Sharing and Service Providers
Information may be shared with trusted people or service providers that help operate the website, deliver email, provide analytics, secure forms, host media, review submissions, or maintain campaign communications. These providers may include website hosting, email delivery, analytics, security, video, document, and related technical services.
Information may also be disclosed if required by law, requested through lawful process, needed for campaign compliance or recordkeeping, or necessary to protect the website, visitors, campaign staff, volunteers, or campaign operations.
Retention
Messages, submissions, email list records, confirmation records, moderation records, uploaded resources, account records, analytics records, and security logs may be kept as long as reasonably needed for campaign communication, moderation history, security, administration, compliance, or recordkeeping. Information that is no longer needed may be deleted or archived.
Your Choices
You may choose not to submit a form, not to confirm an email signup, unsubscribe from email list messages, remove your email address from the campaign email list, or decline analytics cookies. You may also contact the campaign to ask a privacy-related question or request help with information you submitted.
